To display your Giftnote-powered gifting portal at a branded subdomain like gifts.yourbrand.com, follow these steps:

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your DNS provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, AWS Route53).
  2. Navigate to your domain’s DNS management settings.
  3. Add a new DNS record with the following details:
    • Type: CNAME
    • Name: gifts (or any subdomain you prefer, e.g., gifting or shop)
    • Target: yourbrand.shop.giftnote.com (replace yourbrand with your assigned myshopify domain)
  4. Save the record and allow time for DNS propagation (usually within minutes, but can take up to 24 hours).
  5. Once active, your chosen subdomain (e.g., gifts.yourbrand.com) will automatically display your Giftnote storefront.

🔎 Notes

  • This subdomain setup won’t affect your main website—it simply adds a separate branded experience for gifting.
  • If you use Cloudflare, make sure the record is set to DNS-only (not proxied).
  • If you're unsure how to do this, your IT team or DNS provider’s support can guide you.
