Shopify Flow

Giftnote integrates with Shopify flows providing a large range of events and variables to use.

This guide is intended for experienced users of Shopify flows.

Integrating Shopify Flow and Giftnote

To begin we will need to integrate the Giftnote with Shopify apps.

Enabling Giftnote events

Select the ‘Settings’ option from either the top or left navigation on the gift note dashboard.

Select ‘Integrations’ in the navigation bar under the main.

Then select Configure next to the Shopify Flow section. This will open a popup for the integration settings.

For these settings ensure that the main toggle is enabled. The triggers will automatically activate and deactivate when in use by Shopify flows.

Please ensure that the settings have been saved after configuration.

Giftnote Triggers

Giftnote currently provides the following triggers for use in Shopify Flows.

  • Order Message created - when an order is created with a message
  • Order Message delivered - when an order message is sent to the recipient
  • Store Credit issued - when store credit is issued
  • Gift card created - when a gift card is purchased without a message
  • Gift card message created - when a gift card is purchased with a message
  • Gift card message delivered - when a gift card message has been sent to the recipient

Giftnote Conditionals

These are the conditionals currently offered for use with the Giftnote triggers. These will vary between the triggers

Order message conditionals

  • Message - checks the message by the sender
  • Recipient email - checks the recipient's email
  • Recipient phone - checks the recipient's phone
  • From - checks the sender
  • To - checks the recipient

They also have access to the following Shopify API conditionals

  • Order
  • Customer
  • Shop

Gift card only conditionals

  • Gift card code - checks the gift card code
  • Gift card value - checks the gift card value

It also has access to the following Shopify API conditionals

  • Order
  • Customer
  • Shop
  • Product

Gift card message conditionals

  • Message - checks the message by the sender
  • Recipient email - checks the recipient's email
  • Recipient phone - checks the recipient's phone
  • From - checks the sender
  • To - checks the recipient
  • Gift card code - checks the gift card code
  • Gift card value - checks the gift card value

They also have access to the following Shopify API conditionals

  • Order
  • Customer
  • Shop
  • Product

Giftnote Actions

Giftnote currently offers only one action providing store credit.

This will require

  • Email address
  • Value

Optionally the following can also be set

  • Expiry - In months from issue
  • Activity Id
