2. Klaviyo Giftnote Events
The current Klaviyo, Attentive, and Iterable event names Giftnote sends for gift orders, gift cards, and multi-gift orders.

Here is a list of all currently available events that Giftnote provides for Klaviyo (and Attentive, Iterable and Ometria, which list the same events).
To choose which events are sent, go to Settings → Integrations in the Giftnote app and select Settings on the Klaviyo card. Under Notification Events, switch each event on or off (or use Enable All / Disable All). Select Edit to change the metric name Klaviyo receives, Preview to see the payload, and Test or Test All to send test events.
The events are grouped into gift orders (events that include products), gift cards and store credit (events without products), and multi gifts. What each event contains will vary between different gift messages. Select Preview on an event to see exactly which fields it carries.
Each event lists the delivery triggers that fire it. Send Now, Send Later (a scheduled time) and On Delivery (when the package is delivered) match the delivery method the customer chose.
Gift order events
Placed Gift Order
Sent when a customer places a gift order with a scheduled or tracked (on delivery) message. Intended for the customer (sender). Event details consist of the products, gift card, message, and the sending schedule or delivery tracking set by the sender. Triggers: Send Later, On Delivery.
Placed Gift Order includes a Delivery Method property: Send Now, Send Later, On Delivery or On Fulfillment. Use it to split one flow by delivery method.
Gift Order Delivered
Sent when the gift order has met its delivery conditions and the message has been sent to the recipient. Intended for the customer (sender). Event details consist of the products, gift card, message, and confirmation the gift message has been sent. Triggers: Send Now, Scheduled Time, Package Delivered.
Received Gift Order
Sends the order message to the recipient. Intended for the recipient. Event details consist of the products, gift card, and message. Triggers: Send Now, Scheduled Time, Package Delivered, Resend Message.
Gift card / store credit events
Purchased Gift Card
A customer has purchased a gift card with a message and it has been processed. Intended for the customer (sender). Event details consist of the gift card details, message, and schedule details. Triggers: Send Later.
Gift Card Delivered
The gift card has met its delivery conditions and the message has been sent to the recipient. Intended for the customer (sender). Event details consist of the gift card details and message. Triggers: Send Now, Scheduled Time.
Received Gift Card
Sends the gift card message to the recipient. Event details consist of the gift card details and message. Triggers: Send Now, Scheduled Time, Resend Message.
Gift Card
A gift card bought with no message, or a gift card being resent on its own. Intended for the customer or the recipient. Event details consist of just the gift card details. Triggers: Self Purchase, Resend Gift Card.
Issued Store Credit
Store credit was issued from the admin. Sends the customer or recipient the code and card details. Triggers: Store Credit.
Redeemed Gift Card
A gift card has been used. Use it to update the customer or recipient on the remaining balance. Triggers: Gift Card Spent.
Multi-gift events (new in the September update)
Multi Gift Created — a corporate buyer submitted a Multi-Gift order. Triggers: Multi Gift request received.
Multi Gift Approved — a submitted Multi-Gift order was approved. Triggers: Multi Gift approved.
Multi Gift Complete — all gifts in a Multi-Gift order have been delivered. Triggers: All gifts delivered.
Flows built before the September update
The older Klaviyo events Giftnote - Order Scheduled and Giftnote - Order Tracked both map to Placed Gift Order. Shops that used Giftnote before September 2026 keep sending both legacy metric names, so existing flows don't stop. New setups and new flows should use the names above.
Why these names differ from Settings → Notifications
Settings → Notifications lists the same gift moments under its own labels, for example Gift Order - Confirmed and Gift Card - Delivered to Recipient. Those labels control Giftnote's own emails and SMS. Klaviyo receives the event names on this page, or the name you set with Edit.
