5. Gift Card Expiration
How to set a default gift card expiration period using the Years/Months/Days fields and Enabled switch on the Advanced Settings page.

By default, Giftnote gift cards do not expire. This can be changed per-shop within the app, by setting a default expiration timeframe for gift cards created by Giftnote.
Setting an expiration time
From the Giftnote app, go to Settings > Gift Cards > Advanced Settings.
Find the Expiry card at the top of the page.
Turn the Enabled/Disabled switch on, then enter the validity period using the Years, Months and Days fields. Turning the switch off removes expiry entirely — there is no longer a "0" value to type.
Save if a save bar appears.
Does a change affect gift cards I've already issued?
Chat with us before you turn on expiry if you have gift cards outstanding.
Check your local laws first. Some countries and states set a minimum period before a gift card can expire, or do not allow expiry at all.
