Giftnote allows a gift order's message to be modified from within the app. This can be useful if a customer needs the message edited due to a typo or error. You can edit the message and recipient, and change the delivery method and scheduled time. The Edit button on the Gift Message card stays available after the message has been delivered. Saving a change doesn't send the message again.
Modifying a gift order message and schedule
Open the Giftnote app in your Shopify admin, select Gift orders, and find the order that needs to be edited. Use the search icon and Filter at the top of the list to narrow the results.
Open the order, then select Edit on the Gift Message card.

The Edit Message modal opens with every editable field: To, From, Message (up to 210 characters, with a live counter), Email (optional) and Phone (optional) with a country picker. You can also change the delivery method and, for a scheduled message, the send date and time. There is no separate rescheduling screen.
Select Save Changes. The button stays greyed out until you change a field.
Fixing a wrong recipient email or phone number
Correct Email (optional) or Phone (optional) and select Save Changes. Saving doesn't resend anything. Wait for the order page to finish loading, then check the Timeline (select Notifications) to see whether the gift message has already gone out. If it has and the recipient still needs it, send it again from the Notifications card: select Resend on Gift Order - Gift Message Delivered.
Stopping a gift order
If a gift order shouldn't be processed at all, open it and select Archive. Archiving hides it from your active list and stops further gift processing. It can't be undone, and Giftnote has no delete. To cancel the order itself, cancel it in Shopify.
